About

Rosalinda Gallegos

Rooted in resilience. Grounded in psychology. Built for real-world impact.

I’m Rosalinda Gallegos—a Behavioral Wellness Strategist, Executive Consultant, published author, former mixed martial arts champion, and proud mother. Long before I had professional titles or academic credentials, I understood the power of advocacy. At 12 years old, I petitioned for streetlights on my block because I believed my neighborhood deserved to be safer, stronger, and better protected. That early experience taught me something I have carried throughout my life: meaningful change begins when someone is willing to speak up—and continues when people come together to act.

As a teenager, I became a Golden State mixed martial arts champion and held the championship belt. At 17, I made the life-changing decision to relinquish my belt and step away from competition to become a mother. Motherhood changed the direction of my journey, but it did not diminish my ambition. It gave that ambition a deeper purpose.

Becoming a mother taught me how to fight in an entirely different way—not inside a ring, but through perseverance, sacrifice, advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to building a better future.

It remains my proudest role and one of the greatest sources of my strength.

For more than two decades, I have carried that strength into work spanning community advocacy, youth development, legal investigation, higher education, clinical psychology, organizational leadership, and sports mental wellness.

As a single mother and straight-A transfer student at UC Santa Cruz, I balanced my education with work as a tutor, private investigator, legal translator, and paralegal. My lived experience helped me recognize the barriers facing students struggling to meet their most basic needs. I went on to build and scale student-support systems addressing food insecurity, housing instability, financial hardship, and emotional wellness.

That work included supervising more than 20 student ambassadors, expanding access to CalFresh and other essential resources, and helping students overcome the shame often associated with asking for support. My efforts were featured in Edible Monterey Bay’s “Hunger on Campus,” and the California Homeless Youth Project recognized me as a “UC Santa Cruz College Homeless Liaison Superstar.”

Today, I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Legal Studies from UC Santa Cruz. As Operations Lead and equity partner at The Sports & Mental Wellness Playbook, I help develop mental wellness strategies and resources serving athletes across the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA.

Through SEED Consulting, I partner with corporations, universities, public agencies, athletic organizations, and individuals to strengthen leadership, create psychologically safe environments, and turn insight into sustainable action.

I am also the author of three published works addressing suicide prevention, addiction recovery, mindfulness, and mental wellness. Through my writing, I translate psychological knowledge into accessible tools that people can use in their everyday lives.

Every chapter of my life informs how I serve today—the 12-year-old community advocate, the teenage champion, the young mother, the student working multiple jobs, the leader supporting students experiencing homelessness, and the behavioral wellness strategist helping people and organizations thrive.

I bring my whole self to this work: a mother, strategist, advocate, educator, author, and lifelong fighter for people who deserve to be seen and supported. Because resilience is more than surviving what happens to us. It is transforming our experiences into purpose—and using that purpose to create change for others.

I invite you to connect. Whether you are an individual seeking growth, a leader building a healthier culture, or an organization ready to create meaningful change, I would be honored to explore what we can cultivate together.
